Route planning guide

Shipping from China to the UK

UK delivery planning needs more than a country-level rate. The destination postcode, importer and VAT arrangement, commodity details and final-mile scope should be reviewed together.

Content reviewed: 20 August 2026. Confirm current customs, tax and carrier requirements before booking.

Choose a mode from the shipment profile

Air, ocean and direct-to-consumer parcel routes solve different problems. Compare them using total chargeable weight, carton dimensions, urgency, expected order pattern and the cost of holding stock.

State the VAT and customs assumptions

The quote should identify who acts as importer, how duties and VAT are treated, which filings are included and how customs queries or examinations are handled. These points require professional confirmation for the actual shipment.

Check the delivery postcode

Mainland, remote-area and appointment deliveries can have different service conditions. Provide the final postcode and any residential, timed-delivery or proof-of-delivery requirements at the start.

Prepare product evidence

Product links, material details, intended use, values, battery information and brand authorization may be needed. Classification and admissibility cannot be determined from a short product name alone.
