Route planning guide

Shipping from China to Germany

Germany-bound shipments need one plan for freight, customs, product requirements and the final delivery address. The quote should state the assumptions behind each cost.

Content reviewed: 20 August 2026. Product compliance and import requirements must be checked for the current shipment.

Freight mode and consolidation

Air freight may suit urgent or smaller replenishment; ocean freight may suit larger inventory moves; eligible parcel services may suit individual consumer orders. Consolidation can change handling, documentation and timing.

Import and tax scope

Confirm the importer arrangement, commodity classification, customs declaration, duties, import VAT, examination costs and delivery handoff. Ask for every included and excluded cost to be listed.

Product and packaging review

Electrical goods, batteries, cosmetics, food-contact products, medical items and other regulated categories can trigger extra requirements. Packaging, labels and product evidence should be reviewed before dispatch.

Destination delivery details

Provide the postcode, delivery type, opening hours, liftgate or appointment needs and contact process. Business and consumer deliveries may require different last-mile plans.
